On Saturday, Dec 3rd we celebrated our 3rd Annual Night of Giving event. Over 100 guests walked through an enchanting, illuminated path, accompanied by the sound of a violinist leading them to be greeted by the Executive Directors, Juan Carlos, and Blanca Salas. Followed by an opportunity to tour the Mater home.

Led by Masters of Ceremony Leo Popik & Paula Arguindegui, the program began with an invocation by Monsignor Fernando Isern, who also shared his heartfelt commitment to the organization. We were honored to count on the participation of Board member and Keynote Speaker Dr. Mary Jo Sullivan who shared the importance of supporting the ministry.

During the evening, guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and a carefully curated silent auction that included one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia, travel packages, and a unique art selection from local artists. The guests were deeply moved by the video presentation of testimonials of expectant mothers who have found refuge at Mater this past year.

Since the inception of Mater Filius Miami, Mater has been home to 25 expectant mothers along with their children. Funding raised during this evening of generosity significantly impacts our ability to provide residential care and much-needed services to expectant mothers in crisis, their children, and those who will seek refuge at the Mater home in the future.
